How to claim your Hellopeter listing and respond to reviews

Sooner or later, someone reviews your business on Hellopeter — usually not to compliment the coffee. Because Hellopeter pages rank well for "your business name + reviews" searches, an unclaimed page with one angry post can quietly cost you customers for years. Claiming it takes minutes and is free. Here's the whole process, plus how to reply once you're in.

Step 1: Find or create your business page

Search your business name on hellopeter.com. If customers have reviewed you before, a page already exists — you're claiming it, not creating it. If nothing exists, you can register your business fresh through Hellopeter's business portal (business.hellopeter.com). Either way you'll create a business account with your work email and verify that you represent the company.

Step 2: The free tier is enough to start

Hellopeter sells paid business plans with dashboards, review invitations and analytics. For a small local business, start free: what matters is the ability to see new reviews and respond publicly. Upgrade only if Hellopeter becomes a channel where your customers genuinely live (contract businesses, call-centre businesses — see Hellopeter vs Google).

Step 3: Reply — with the resolution loop in mind

Hellopeter has one mechanic Google doesn't: reviewers can update their review and rating after you resolve the issue, and resolved complaints are visible as such. That changes the goal of your reply. On Google you reply mostly for the audience; on Hellopeter you're also genuinely negotiating a rescue.

  1. Reply publicly within a day: acknowledge the specific problem, no fog.
  2. Take the details offline (their reference number, your phone number).
  3. Actually fix the thing.
  4. Return to the thread: "Update: we've replaced the unit and refunded the callout — thanks for your patience." Then politely ask if they'd consider updating the review.

The four-part reply formula from our bad-review guide works verbatim here, and the industry templates adapt with a one-word swap.

What you can and can't get removed

Hellopeter, like Google, doesn't remove reviews for being negative. Their moderation handles defamation, hate speech, personal information and reviews about the wrong company — you can dispute those through the business portal with evidence. A review that's merely unfair gets the same treatment as everywhere else: one calm public reply, then let your other reviews speak.

Don't campaign there — campaign on Google

Hellopeter skews toward complaints because that's what it's culturally for. Send your happy customers to Google instead, where volume builds your map ranking — the free review link generator gives you the one-tap link, and PeakReviews automates the asking entirely. Keep Hellopeter tidy; make Google grow.
